The Littlest FO
March 7th, 2007 at 8:22 pm (Progress Posts)
Thanks for all the compliments on the sweater and all the button tips. I’ve decided that I will end up switching them for something better/smaller, but I’m keeping what I have for now. I know that it will take me awhile to go shop for the buttons, and I want to be able to wear it in the meantime. I actually completed another FO while the seaming of the Sunrise Circle Jacket was in progress….a very small FO.
Pattern: Lace Headband from pepperknit
Yarn: Socks that Rock in Autumn colorway (leftover from my Embossed Leaves socks)
Needles:Bamboo DPNs US 1 and 2
Started: Feb 28
Finished: Mar 1
Such fun quick knit. I often want to pull my hair back after work, but since it is short it still falls in my face. I have one headband that I made from this pattern, but I made it from the same fabric that I used for the shoulderbag that I use all the time. So when I go out wearing both of them, I feel a little too matchy-matchy. Now I have a new little headband to switch it up a bit. I want to look up some different stitch patterns to make more with all my sock yarn leftovers.
I also finished the body of Durrow, and have moved onto the sleeves. I had originally planned to knit the sleeves and body at the same time, but Pomatomus took over my “vigilant” knitting time. The end is in sight with this one.

I’m totally copying your sunrise circle jacket – I found yarn in my stash and already cast on!

How pretty! And what a perfect way to use up the ends of sock yarn.

I just found that headband pattern today. About 5 minutes before I cruised on over to your blog. I am going to whip one up for both of my daughterd and maybe one for myself.
I can’t wait to see what Durrow looks like. I have been looking for a manly-man sweater for my husband.

I have that same pattern for the headband – do you know about how much yarn you used? I only have a few grams left, and hope it’s enough! It’s super cute!
Cables – mmmm….

Hm, that makes me want to do something narrow with the giant skein of STR I bought. I like the striping.
